Prayer of Faith

If you have been homeless and hungry, you know what it’s like to be afflicted and feel alone, but the Bible says that if you call out to Him, He “will incline [His] ear” toward you and “hear the desire of” your afflicted heart. Here are a few scriptures from the Bible to help you understand how much God loves and cares for you. And how you can know Him personally.

Psalm 10:17 (ESV)  “O LORD, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear.”

Proverbs 14:31 (AMP)  “Whoever oppresses the poor taunts and insults his Maker, But he who is kind and merciful and gracious to the needy honors Him."

Matthew 11:28 (MSG)   “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

Jeremiah 29:11-12 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

John 3:16 (NKJV) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 14:6 (NKJV) Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Luke 15:1-7 (NIVNow the tax collectors and sinners were all gatherings around to hear Jesus.  But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Then Jesus told them this parable:  “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?  And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’  I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Romans 10:9-10  (NIV) - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Prayer of Salvation

If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, say these words from your heart and your mouth out loud:

Dear God, I come to You in the name of Jesus, and I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. Jesus, come into my heart and direct my life. I confess with my mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart You raised Him from the dead and He is sitting at Your right hand. I ask that You fill me with your Holy Spirit. Thank You, God, for forgiving me, saving me, and giving me eternal life with you. AMEN.
